I've been very lazy dealing with other stuff. My car hasn't been washed in 2 months. But i did remove that cat and replaced it with a test pipe. The car sounds good.

Thats a lot of stuff to shove inside your 16v..

How do you flush the toilet? does the exhaust provide some sort of suction? They work better if you install them on the passenger side

Today was one of the best days for the car since I bought it. I gave those chrome wheels back to the friend I bought them from in exchange for a brand new set of 195/50R15 tires for my Cragar wheels. The car rides so much better now, drives better and just all around.. is better. Even my speedometer works right now.

About to head to the tire shop. Cragar's with old crap tires loaded up. (I removed the lower half of my back seat for this)

My new tires. Check out the cool tread. They have an inside and outside, one way of mounting only.

Notice my wife sitting there texting on her phone.

All good. It looks so much nicer now.. No more ghetto wheels for me.

190rev sticker on the back window. Tomorrow I'm going to wash the car.

Tomorrow I'm going to wash it and Armor-All my new tires.

Looks great, now you can probably get away with removing those spring wedges and lower her without rubbing!

I removed them before they put those wheels back on it. Shit.. That was first on the list as soon as those chrome wheels came off!

The car is so much lower now. At least 3 inches lower with the spring boosters removed and the right size tires on it. I'm still used to it rubbing, I still cringe when I hit a spot/bump where it rubbed before. Due to the smaller tires it steers so much better too. It's just all around better now. I will never do that to her again.

These little $8 suckers let me drive around on 215's in a 2" lowered w201 for 3 months. Off in the tool box they go.. For next time in another rigged up vehicle.

today I installed a radiator in my Dodge Ram and still can't figure out why my 16v isn't starting (I'm fearing the worst) My stable is thankfully going to be thinned out very shortly. I can't afford to have five non running cars at once, just a little ridiculous.

Can someone measure how tall their 190 is thats not lowered with stock size tires on it? Mine is so low now that I wonder just how much lower than stock it is. I took a picture and added some measurements to it with photoshop.

It's like getting out of a go-cart. I must keep in mind that when I pull up to a curb that it's higher than the front spoiler allows. I must park away from it where as before I could pull up all the way to the front tires and let the front bumper/spoiler hover over the curb/sidewalk. Not anymore.

I'm going today and checking the air in the tires all the way around. I didn't like those idiots at the tire shop. Both of them put the wheels on the wrong bolt pattern first and had to remove it and turn it to the right pattern. The black guy said "These wheels are off a little bit and don't look like they're gonna fit!" I said "Uh, Those wheels have been on that car for 15+ years so yeah, they fit. *sigh*

24.5" front, 24.5" rear. I don't think i want to go any lower. It used to be 27" in the front before i cut off 1.4 coils. I don't have a body kit so I don't think any of those numbers would be relevant.

Scott, the new wheels look much better

Tell me about it mate. I lost 8 lbs in 3 weeks for doing all these things!

It's a good thing you had that inspection done, imagine if you didn't know and lost all of your coolant, scored your cylinders with carbon from running rich or detonated from running lean, or lost your brakes while trying to slow down from highway speeds. Safety inspection is a very necessary and important thing everywhere.

In CA, your car can be missing doors and pissing oil out of the transmission, and the officials wouldn't give a shit as long as it passes smog. Estupido!

I'm a Texan, born and raised here but from 23-29 years old I lived in Florida (Panama City) and there is no inspection there..at all. No tag on the windshield. Just a license plate on the back with a month/year sticker on it. Here in Texas you must have a front and rear plate, registration sticker on the windshield and inspection sticker on the windshield. In Florida you can drive any old pile of shit but here it's a little harder. Over here in San Antonio you don't have to get it smog tested (emissions) but in Houston area you do. Weird laws.

I'm glad I didn't have to get my car to pass smog. It passed inspection with no problems though. The guy just drove it around the parking lot, slammed on the brakes.. checked all of the lights/signals, checked my insurance paperwork and was finished. $16.

I feel you man, I've been out of work for the longest I have been since I started working when I was fifteen. I guess at least you'll have some time to go to the junkyard to find those parts.

-If you have to, you can eliminate the auxiliary water pump with a piece of tubing, it's there to keep the cabin cozy with the engine off.
-Brake lines from w124's or w202's might work as well, so you should be able to find something that will work with one junkyard trip.
-You can adjust the a/f ratio yourself with a multimeter, if they don't check for NOX in the RI smog test, just go a bit leaner than 50% duty cycle, and then richen it up a tad after the test.
-Wheel speed sensors from a w124 might work as well, so you should be able to find one pretty easily at the JY.
-If you can't find a wheel speed sensor, just pull the fuse for the ABS module, and be aware that you'll need to modulate and not slam on the brakes in panic stops. If they're failing you for a light on in the dash, you can always pull the cluster and remove the bulb while you get things together to fix the problem.

I'm starting to worry about the basic essentials for living in the near future, and I've got these cars that love to eat up my money because I'm too stupid to leave them alone. It's a sickness I tell ya. I keep saying to myself that it's an investment because I'm going to stick with these cars for the long haul, since I've always lost money when I sold my cars and I know I'd lose a ton with the 190's since they blue book so low. Maybe they'll be considered classics some day!
